I find that people look more like themselves when they are comfortable, relaxed, and at ease during a shoot.  This is easier said than done.  I try to involve my client in the process.  My goal is to avoid making them feel like the “object” of the shoot and to make them part of the experience.

My portrait sessions can be done outside in an environmental setting, at my studio, or in your home.  One of my favorite locations for outdoor shoots is the Grounds at UVA.  The architecture is classic and the landscaping is gorgeous year-round.  One of the many advantages of using UVA is the variety of settings in very close proximity of each other.
